Amit Dhanda (b. 1996, Village Gatauli, Jind, Haryana) is a promising, young, budding Hindi poet whose forte is devotional songs and hymns. He is a prolific writer and is passionate about writing poems that carry messages and thoughts about humanism. His poems inspire the reader to choose a righteous path, be God fearing and value life. He belongs to rural Haryana where simplicity is a way of life and people mostly use Haryanvi dialect. This is clearly reflected in his poems which are very honest and simple but carries a deep message. His passion for writing poems started early during his school days that has gradually evolved with his collegiate education. His poems show a lot of maturity and given time his writing skills will improve and develop into his own characteristic style. Currently, he is pursuing his B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Chemistry from Zakir Husain Delhi College, a constituent college of University of Delhi. He is also a keen sportsman and plays Volleyball. He has also represented his college team at college and university level tournaments. His other interests are NCC and he aspires to join Indian defense services.
