Known by pen name, resides in Kolkata, obsessed with poetry, by profession Superintendent of Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax, Ministry of Finance, Government of India - Angsu Saha Ray, 1963 has been writing poems since boy-hood in Bengali. But since last two years he has been writing seriously mainly in Bengali and seldom in English. Angsu came of poor family at Burdwan, a semi-urban area of West Bengal. He had to stop education at the age of only 19 and joined service in lower grade of Post and Telegraph Department of India for sustaining his life. Later on did Masters Degree in Political Science and presently studying the Master in Business Law (MBL) from the India's premier Law University, National Law School of India University Bangalore. Angsu writes poems to express himself. His struggles, irony of fate, his belief and experience are repeatedly revolve around his poems. He thinks the ongoing changes in the global scenario since last three decades are the reflections of Market Fundamentalism. During this age the world has been shortened and Universalism is expanded in one hand but on the other hand Individualism is also growing day by day.
