Dr Karanam Nagaraja Rao is a faculty of Alliance University, Bangalore. He did his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in Management Science. He worked for more than 2 decades in different administrative capacities in LIC of India and also in Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company as State Operations Manager before joining in to academics. He did his Yoga (Instructor Course) from S.Vyasa University, Bangalore and completed 'Advanced Vedanta Course' from Chinmaya International Foundation. As a matter of academic interest he completed four levels of Sanskrit examinations including 'Kovida' from Samskrita Bharathi, Bangalore. He completed online courses on Foundations of Business Strategy from University of Virginia, Introduction to Philosophy from Edinburgh University and also completed a course on Gita from Oxford University. He has to his credit many training programs for corporate sector employees as part of MDP under the banner of 'Corporate Athlete'. He is passionate in writing poems in English and Telugu and an avid reader of classical literature. Some of his Telugu articles are published in the Telugu Magazines. His other books including edited books include "Rural Management in Post- Reform Era", "Rural Development in Post- Colonial Era", "Principles and Practices of Risk and Insurance" and a jokes book with title, "Smiling Sinews". He has to his credit more than 50 articles published in National and International journals of repute.
