Mrs. Lovely Dutta Prusty, was a Radio Jockey with A.I.R Dibrugarh, Assam and a freelance writer during her college years. Born in Shillong in 1972, the author had taken to writing from a very young age. Her poems, short stories, travelogues and articles have been published in several leading newspapers in India, such as in the Times of India –NIE, Mind field, The Assam Tribune, The Sentinel, Janambhumi, The Eastern Clarion, The Hitavada and Lokmat Times, Nagpur, Woman’s Era, The Criterion-an International Journal and several other regional magazines and journals. Some of her poems have been translated into Assamese. The author is also a social worker and was actively involved with Rotary International as a member of Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor and held the position of Director of Youth and Generation next. She was the Editor of the RBITC magazine, Subhiksha and also the Founder Editor of 'Orio-Confetti', a yearbook of the Deens Academy, a well-known CBSE school in East Bangalore. Having a post graduate degree in English Literature from Dibrugarh University and a CIDTT from Cambridge, she has been teaching English for over two decades in schools and colleges across India. Was recently awarded one of the Top Hundred Mentors in India by the Think CIQ AIM Awards, sponsored by Times of India, Bangalore. Currently, she is the Headmistress of a prestigious school in Bangalore, DPS Whitefield. This is her first collection of short stories. The author resides in Bangalore with her husband and a teenage daughter.
