The author has over twenty years of work experience associated with Aviation Safety. He has made positive contributions in analytical research related to aircraft events, malfunctions and critical mode and effect analysis of aircraft and engine systems. He has undergone several trainings of aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus, and by the International Aviation regulatory agencies. He has attended training at the Institute of Flight Safety at Paris. He is a member of the Aeronautical Society of India and completed his masters in aerospace engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai in 1992. He had pursued doctoral research in the area of Reliability Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Since the last ten years he is involved in independent research in the field of Probability theory. He also has experience in teaching Engineering Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics.
